BIM is in
our DNA

We always work in accordance with the BIM Basis ILS and the ILS Design & Engineering standards. At the same time, we have the flexibility and expertise to work with other BIM standards, including those used by contractors and housing associations. Drawing on our experience in BIM management, we can advise on an appropriate project approach and BIM protocols, and prepare Information Delivery Specifications.

Throughout the process, you will be in direct contact with the implementation team. This prevents information from being lost in handover and allows our engineers to incorporate your requirements directly into the virtual model.

What can you expect from us?

  • Technical engineering across all design phases, from preliminary design to final design
  • BIM models compliant with BIM Basis ILS, ILS O&E and ILS for existing buildings
  • Surveying, measuring, and modelling existing buildings
  • Converting point cloud surveys into BIM models
  • Drawings for sales, permits, inspections, floor area calculations (NEN 2580), and floor plans (NEN 1414)
  • Advice on building detailing, material selection and environmental impact (MPG)

projects

Lijnbaan
Rotterdam

We developed the BIM model on the basis of a point cloud and supplemented it with deviations from the existing condition identified through archival drawings. Nike’s interior design requirements were incorporated into the model and, because of its impact on the design, the sprinkler system was also included at a schematic level. The new customer lift presented a particular challenge due to the limited installation space within the existing concrete structure. The result was a Boltt project involving multiple stakeholders and a set of complex technical issues.

North End
Vianen Sluiseiland

For SBB, we developed the North End design from the technical engineering phase through to construction. The BIM model was prepared in accordance with SBB’s BIM standard and the BIM Basis ILS, supplemented by digital information maps and additional project-specific construction information requirements. This made it possible to manage production directly from the model. The result was significant time savings, fewer construction errors, and a more efficient construction process.

Rokin District
Amsterdam

The design for two new department stores on the Rokin draws on Amsterdam’s history and gives the Rokin District a renewed presence. The glass canopy forms the centerpiece of the project. Together with Van Wijnen and the other project partners, we helped ensure an integrated approach and close coordination throughout the process. BIM played a key role in this, with the integrated model providing clarity and efficiency.

Q Residences
Amsterdam

Developer NEOO and client Kroonenberg Groep, in collaboration with the American architectural firm Studio Gang, were looking for a local co-architect. The brief included coordination with the City of Amsterdam, guidance through the permitting process, development of the integrated technical design in BIM, supervision of prototyping, and aesthetic oversight during construction. In close collaboration with NEOO, Kroonenberg Groep, Studio Gang, and contractor J.P. van Eesteren, we delivered two residential buildings that reflect the strength of that partnership.

National Holocaust Memorial Amsterdam

We worked with the Dutch Auschwitz Committee on the realization of the National Holocaust Memorial Amsterdam. Drawing on our knowledge of local construction practice, we supported the American architectural firm Studio Libeskind in adapting the design to comply with Dutch laws and regulations. We also oversaw the practical aspects of the construction process in close collaboration with Studio Libeskind, the contractor and the other project partners.

Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal
Amsterdam

Commissioned by Kroonenberg Groep, the former headquarters and printing facility of De Telegraaf was renovated and repurposed as sustainable, contemporary offices, retail space and residential units. Using historical imagery, point clouds and drone footage, we were able to compare the current condition of the historic building with its original state in the 1930s. This made it possible to restore details that had been altered or lost over time.
